A Las Vegas rapper arrested recently in connection with a 2021 killing was taken in by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department due in part to lyrics in a new song and music video released in July.
Kenjuan McDaniels, 25, artistic name TheBiggestFinn 4800, was arrested on Aug. 29. Police accuse him of being the killer in the Sept. 18, 2021, shooting death of Randall Wallace, then 32.
While the police arrest announcement only mentioned that Mr. McDaniels was charged with open murder with a deadly weapon, the warrant, recently acquired by local TV news outlets in Las Vegas, reveals that his song and music video “Fadee Free” may have tipped his hand.
In particular, a lyric stating “parked the car, doubled back on feet, the smartest way to slide, Drove in, double lock yo man, make sure you get yo bod’, Hold your breath and make sure you calm yourself, [expletive] make sure you open your eyes,” was cited by police as providing details of the killing not released to the public, according to KLAS-TV.
Police further alleged that Mr. McDaniels reenacted the slaying, even mentioning a “Midget,” Wallace’s nickname.
In addition to the music, police connected Mr. McDaniels to a white 2013 Chevrolet Malibu via a romantic partner. The car had been used to go to and flee the scene, police said, according to KSNV-TV.
