President Biden’s campaign has allocated $25 million for television ads, which will start airing this month in battleground states. The primary objective is to reach out to Black and Hispanic voters.
The ad buy is strategically timed, just before the first Republican debate, and will be broadcasted on television and digital platforms, taking advantage of major TV events.
“Our strategy emphasizes the need to invest in reaching all Americans where they are – and doing it early in the cycle,” said Kevin Munoz, Mr. Biden’s campaign spokesman.
According to Munoz, this ad campaign is “historic” and represents the largest and earliest investment into Hispanic and African American media. The ads will be aired in states like Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
This marks the third major ad buy of Mr. Biden’s 2024 campaign. The ads will run for 16 weeks and focus on Biden’s goals of lowering costs for the middle class, creating jobs, and revitalizing American manufacturing.
“New ad airing in Milwaukee highlighting how President Biden’s agenda is giving more breathing room for American families,” said Mr. Munoz.
In the 2016 election, Mr. Trump won Wisconsin. However, Mr. Biden managed to flip the state in 2020. To secure another victory, Mr. Biden’s campaign needs to maintain Wisconsin in the Democrats’ column.
“Voters in Wisconsin rejected the extreme, divisive MAGA agenda in 2020, and they rejected the MAGA attacks on choice just this year in their Supreme Court election,” wrote Mr. Munoz. “They will reject it again in 2024.”
In the upcoming Republican debate in Milwaukee, Mr. Trump will not be participating. He announced on Truth Social, “The public knows who I am & what a successful Presidency I had. I will therefore not be doing the debates.”
Mr. Biden’s campaign released another ad on YouTube titled “Fought Back,” highlighting his role in helping the post-COVID-19 economy. The ad emphasizes the record-low unemployment rate and America’s leading position in the global economy.
“Joe Biden passed historic laws to rebuild the country, but he knows that it’s the American people who are the heroes of this story,” says the narrator in the video.
“America is back,” says Mr. Biden in the video.
